My name is Sohkor Solanke.

I'm a child of God, wife, mother of three sons, educator, writer, podcast host and producer, and true worshipper.

My blog posts feature my experiences as a Christian, as a classroom teacher, and as a Black woman in America and in the UK.
 
My podcast Sweet Mother was borne out of the loss of my own mother in 2021. Each episode features the life and legacy of a different woman as told by the daughter(s) she left behind.

The Education Today Podcast taps into my 15 years of experience teaching 6th through 12th grade. The episodes feature interviews with teachers, school staff, parents, students, and other stakeholders about all things education, from preschool to college and career.
